Original Sculpture for Sale
The early works by this artist are shown on the Figurative Gallery and Abstract Gallery tabs and were usually created by making a clay maquette for planning and working out structural details. Later, when the stone sculpture was made, the clay was reused for another sculpture. After working with the clay for several years, Danny experimented with baking the clay to harden it. At that point, it was capable of accepting a permanent finish. For some pieces he chose a faux bronze that reacts to different petinas as true bronze might be expected to react. This is because it actually contains bronze material. The result is a figure that appears to be true but without the great weight and cost associated with a cast metal sculpture. Because of this, these sculptures can be offered at less than half the cost of other bronze works. For other pieces, he used metalic acrylic paints to give a highly reflective finish. For all the pieces no mold is involved, so each sculpture is an original. There will never be two exactly alike.
